IMPORT PROCESS TO MADAGASCAR
CUSTOMS:
- Original documents are required by customs
- All details on all documents must be correct (quantity/description of goods/goodsorigin /incoterm)
DOCUMENTS NEEDED :
- OBL & HBL or AWB & HAWB - - -
- Commercial invoices, preferably in French as required or in English but with HS codes -

Packing list: all details of cargo such asvolume, weight, number and type of package, containerdetails for sea shipment;…
Following details are required on invoice:
- Shipper & consignee address
- Invoice date
- Incoterm
- Quantity/weight/cbm/unit price per item
- HS code per item
- Documents to original, signed and stamped
- Certificate of origin : is not mandatory but whit this document, consignee is exempt of part of duties and taxes on some cases
- Freight attestation (especially forFOB and EXW terms )
- BSC validated to be done online by shipper or export agent.

DOCUMENTS RESTRICTIONS :
- Pro forma invoice not allowed for clearance
- Non validated BSC not allowed
- No signed & stamped commercial invoice not allowed
- No valued item not allowed
OTHERS DOCUMENTS
For specific commodities as foodstuff, telecommunication device & medicine etc…) , additional documents may be required.
